Data Conversion Lead

Background:

• PT Inco (PTI), a Vale company, is one of the world’s premier producers of nickel, a versatile metal which is important to improved living standards and economic growth. For more than three decades, the Company has provided skilled jobs, shown concern for the needs of the communities in which it operates, benefited shareholders and contributed positively to the Indonesian economy.
• PTI is implementing SAP as part of a global rollout by Vale. The SAP platform is comprehensive, comprising Finance (FI), Controlling (CO), Project System (PS), Funds Management (FM), Production Planning (PP), Quality Management (QM), Sales and Distribution (SD), Plant Maintenance (PM), Materials Management (MM), Warehouse Management (WM), and Transportation (TD) modules.
• The data conversion team has over 30 individuals on site, with several more working offshore.

Work description:

• Co-team-lead for the data conversion team. This position reports directly to the Program Manager.
• This co-lead and his/her team’s work is focussed on the functional requirements, testing, and validation of the data conversion. The team of fifteen includes several business analysts, testers, and a testing coordinator.
• In addition to managing the team, primary responsibilities of the team lead are to identify and manage risks, oversee resolution of defects and change requests, and resolve issues.
• Coordination with the other co-team-leads as well as the functional teams.

Experience/Skills:

• At least 5+ years experience working on system implementation projects
• Beneficial to have participated in data conversion reconciliation on system implementation projects.
• Strong management capabilities.
• Good command of English, both verbal and written
• Willing to live in Sorowako until all data is loaded (currently scheduled for May), and all validations are documented and archived.
